Hollywood is an American cinema. They produce approximately 500 movies per year. The movies are about 1-1/2h long. But they can be up to 3h long. Hollywood started in the late 1800s. Hollywood is also a physical place, it´s a small community in Los Angeles, California. Where lot´s of the stars in the movies live.
The music in the movies is often background to give more depth in the movie but there can also be some dance numbers every now and then.
Mostly they speak English in the movies but there can be other languishes to.
If you do a comparison with Bollywood so are the date of Origin the early 1900s. That means Hollywood was created first.
Bollywood have a much higher producing speed than Hollywood, they produce up to 900-1200 movies per year, and the movies are also longer, they are up to 3h. But maybe the movies in Bollywood don´t have the same quality as the movies in Hollywood.
In Bollywood they also have much more dance numbers in most of the movies, thats a very good sign for a Bollywood movie. The dance are often very ”Indian style”, with lots of fabulous cloths.
In Bollywood movies the speak Hindi the most but they also have other languishes in the movies.
Bollywood is not a physical place but it´s very popular in the eastern countries including the U.S. So that means Hollywood can be a bit easier to "understand" because it´s a physical place and not something that´s spread out in the world.

I have watched both Hollywood and Bollywood movies and i could really tell the difference, the the Bollywood movie took place in Indian with Indian caricatures while the Hollywood movie took place in California with european caricatures. So thats a really big difference. But over all, it´s just a movie, right? ;)
